Pimples - Corner of Mouth and Other Awkward Places

Having pimples - whiteheads, blackheads, and other unidentifiable skin blemishes - is never a good thing for most people, and for women especially creates a great deal of emotional stress as they try to clear their skin in order to put on make-up before leaving home. However there are places, such as for example on the corner of the mouth, inside the nasal area, and on or near an eye, where it is an even bigger headache.

Over much of the facial skin, it’s possible to use a quick fix by popping the pimple - as long as you take extreme hygiene precautions of ensuring that your hands are completely clean, and you cover and then cleanse the entire surrounding area once the deed is done so that any infection doesn’t have a chance to spread - but in these awkward places, popping isn’t really an option as the pimple is inaccessible or in an area of extreme sensitivity. Another problem with these pimples is that many medications can’t be used to destroy them because of the danger of ingesting or inhaling harmful chemicals into the body, or putting them into the eyes.

Whenever possible these pimples should be kept clean and allowed to run their course - but if they seem to be infected, or if they don’t disappear within a day or two, then you need to seek medical help by either speaking to a nurse who can advise on such things, speaking to your pharmacist if they know anything about treating awkwardly placed pimples, or alternatively, if you already have a dermatologist, follow whatever advice they have to safely remove the pimple.
